The RCHS cheerleaders and Varsity Club will be sponsoring an Autumn Carnival following the homecoming soccer game. It will take place on the baseball field. A ticket good for one try at each of ten events costs $1.00. These events include a dunking booth with mostly faculty and some student victims, football toss, soccer kick, dart game, softball toss, apple bobbing, basketball shoot, baseball throw, and guessing how many candy corn fill a jar. Caramel apples will be for sale. All prizes have been donated by local merchants.
Halftime will be highlighted by floats built and entered by each grade at RCHS, the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and introduction of her court and escorts, and entertainment by the RCHS Marching Band.
The grand finale to this fine autumn day will the the homecoming dance at RCHS from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Jon Heddleston will act as the emcee at this dance with a Mardi Gras theme.
The Rappahannock Chapter of the National Honor Society will be providing decorations, music and refreshments. They are also sponsors of the halftime festivities.
