Jay will need your vote, and he needs a decent governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general to lead the attack on out of control spending and crime. So when you go to the polls vote against radical extremism and vote for Allen, Farris, Gilmore and Katzen.

I am writing to inform voters of the 31st Delegate District why they should not re-elect Jerry Wood as their state delegate.
First, Mr. Wood voted against the parents of the 31st District when he voted against the parental notification bill (HB 958). This bill would require that one parent be notified before an abortion could be performed on his or her minor daughter. Out of 100 delegates, Mr. Wood was one of only 35 who voted against the bill. According to the Gallop Poll (June 1992), 71 percent of Americans support parental consent/notification before a minor can have an abortion.
Supporters of parental notification note that in other states where similar laws have been enacted, the teen pregnancy, birth, and abortion rate have fallen dramatically. For example, Minnesota experienced a 32 percent decline in teen pregnancies, a 23.4 percent reduction in teen births, and a 40 percent decrease in teen abortions — within 18 months of enactment of a similar law.
Proponents also argue that minor girls need the help and support of a parent to handle this crisis. Testimony before committees has revealed that girls sometimes regret hasty/abortion decisions, and periodically experience complications. Dr. James C. Anderson, a Virginia emergency rodm physician, testified that he treats girls who are having complications from legal abortions. These include fever, infections, severe pelvic pain, and unstable blood , pressure.
