Kurt Harrup, the new assistant principal it the high school, is used to coming on the scene in a school once the school year has started. At his last position as Principal of Luray High School he started in April of 1992 and worked through the 1992-93 school year.
Before coming to Page County he did graduate work at Virginia Tech and has a certificate of advanced graduate study in school administration. He has completed most of the work for a doctorate in education, but does not have the degree. Most importantly he lacks the dissertation. He said that he does plan to finish work for the doctoral degree, “maybe after retirement.”
