George Roxie Clater Sr.
Mrs. Clater was a member of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Dodson of Sperryville; two sons, Robert S. (Pete) Clater of Manassas and Gid Clater of Sperryville; 11 grandchildren; LI greatgrandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.
Also survivng are six sisters, Mrs. Marie Burke, Mrs. Estelle Leake, Mrs. Virginia Campbell, Mrs. Edna Oliver, Mrs. Mae Long, all of Luray and Mrs. Catherine Brown of Sperryville; three brothers, Gayland Atkins of Luray, Frank Atkins of Akron, Ohio and Carlton Atkins of Sperryville and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in deaths by three sons, Roxie Jr., Isaac (Buck) and Jack Clater.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville.
Interment was in Sperryville Cemetery with the Rev. William Harrison officiating. Pallbearers were Wayne Carwile, Donald Gore, Randolph Clater, Wilson Burke, Charles Edward Payne, Julian Brown, Bobby Foster and Charles K. Estes.

Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
