The voters of Rappahannock are facing an election where two incumbent candidates have previous voting records.
Don Beyers’ Senate tie-breaking votes have been anti-business, antifamily, pro big government, and liberal on criminals. . . Jerry Wood’s record got him a rating of 13 percent by the Virginia Family Foundation. Nine delegates (all Republicans) received 100 percent ratings with our previous Del. Andy Guest getting 73 percent for bis votes. In the Senate, Kevin Miller received 88 percent for his voting record. The criteria used for making these evaluations were the Candidates’ votes on spending bills, taxes, education, parental rights, and the expansion of government into our daily lives. . Wood’s record is totally unacceptable for a community such as Rappahannock to tolerate. We need to elect Jay Katzen to the House of Delegates this year. I feel confident he will follow in the balanced approach to representation that Del. Guest used when he represented the .31st District.
