Herbs are often overlooked in the landscape but, in reality, have unlimited potential. Most are easy to grow and care for but, most importantly, many have wonderful fragrances. Herbs make beautiful, groundcovers and interesting landscape plants.
The trend towards smaller lots makes it necessary to get the most out of increasingly smaller spaces. Herbs used as groundcovers make that possible by providing practical as well as aesthetic benefits.
In general, herbs need less water and fertilizer, and some are almost immune to pests and diseases. Because they require less time and effort, herbs can be very useful in the landscape.
The herbs listed here are a few that are particularly useful. Thej have good habit and appearance with little or no maintenance. ?
