Another matter that seemed to really bother Ms. Terry when she whs questioned about it was her “unmarried” state. While it should not be held against her, it certainly could become a handicap when the time comes for decisions regarding the families which make up the Virginia population. Our nation is made up of families and what happens to the family as the result of laws made by our leaders does determine what will happen to our nation. So goes the family — so goes the nation. It is very important factor in the leadership of Virginia, Ms. Terry.
I urge everyone to really think about what has been said by all of the candidates for the upcoming election. Once you have weighted their words and what they plan to do for us, our children, our families — I’m confident you will agree that conservative is right and that George Allen, Mike Farris, Jim Gilmore, and Jay Katzen do have the right focus for Virginia. Let’s take Virginia back from the liberal Democrats — vote Republican! Your vote could be the most important vote cast in this election, so don’t forget!

To the Editor:
We are now late in the campaign, and I have made some observations of my own.
I have seen Democratic candidate Mary Sue Terry go from 18 points ahead in the polls to 17 points behind Republican candidate George Allen. There are many reasons for this turn about not the least of which is George Allen’s shared values and principals with mainstream Virginia voters, but also Mary Sue’s attempts to campaign against the entire Republican ticket, several conservative ministers and possible future candidates.
Mary Sue and Don Beyer have tried to run from the Clintons. Bill Dolan, Democratic candidate for Attorney General, is frantically looking for someone to hold on to so he won’t be exposed as one totally inex
