Shelley Timber spent the weekend with her grandmother Mrs. Mildred Timbers in Woodville.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Corbin down Reva way upon the arrival of a new daughter, Scarlett Anne, bom last Monday at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton. Grandparents are Peggy Corbin and the late Riley Corbin. Polly Corbin is Scarlett’s great-grandmother.

Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville and her houseguest, Mrs. Lacy Corbin of Winchester were Sunday luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier on Rt. 615. En route home they visited Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rutherford and Saturday evening Mrs. Corbin and Mrs. Atkins visited one of Mrs. Corbins’s former classmates of Salem, Mrs. Charles Yates and her son Charles.

Belle Grove Plantation, the National Trust for Historic Preservation house museum located one mile south of Middletwon will offer a “Father Christmas” workshop for beginners and up from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23.
