and principal. He lives in Luray with his wife, who is a guidance counselor at Central High Schoolin Woodstock, and a son who is a sophomore at Luray High School. They have another son completing work on a doctorate in chemistry at Emory University. He says he will continue to live in Luray, “since that is a central point for us. ”
Mr. Harrup said he is happy to be in a small rural high school. “I graduated from a high school with about 500 students in eighth through twelfth grades," he said. “I like working in a smaller school because you get to know more of the kids better.”
