Sweet woodruff prefers full shade and likes moist, well-drained soil containing orgainic matter. Deep green leaves form star-shaped whorls around the stems. It blooms in May and June with clusters of white flowers. When it is dry, it has a fragrance like new-mown hay.
Catmint (Naptea mussinii) 7 Grows 1 foot high and wide and is best suited for full sun and moist, well-drained soil. It forms a delicate textured, spreading clump of gray green foliage with a sharp fragrance and lavender-blue flowers in June and July.
Creeping Thyme (Thymus spp) - Grows 4 inches high by 12 inches wide. These hardy perennials form carpets of soft, fragrant foliage They prefer full sun and w’ell drainei soil. Their fragrances makes them ideal for planting among stepping stones, along a path and in the crevices of a stone wall or pavement.
