To the Editor:
Jerry Wood denies that he said what he said (Letters, Oct. 13).
It’s no matter; Jerry says a lot of things. Jerry is a friendly sort, and he likes to please people, voters especially. If he knows what you want to hear, that’s what he will tell you.
Inconsistency doesn’t concern Jerry. He holds no strong beliefs. No great issues burn in his heart.
Except one: keeping his job. He waited 25 years to get a seat in the House, and he just wants to hold on to it.
But things have a way of catching up. Jerry, we hardly knew ye.
