Snowmobile Theft
Gets 90-Day Term

Samuel L. Robinson, 24, of Culpeper, will be tried a third time for three felonies he is charged with in connection with a shooting at the Pine Knot Inn in November, 1992.
Mr. Robinson was first tried last October, and that ended in a mistrial. In his second trial held last month, the jury convicted him of one misdemeanor but was hung on the three felony charges.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke told Judge W. Shore Robertson, “The Commonwealth does wish to retry this case, your honor.”
Judge Robertson decided that the trial will again be heard by a jury, and set the date for August 18.
Howard Kenneth Haun, 53, of Flint Hill was convicted of grand larceny, a felony, in Rappahannock County Circuit Court on June 2. The jury sentenced him to 90 days in jail and fined him $200.
Mr. Haun was found guilty of stealing two snowmobiles belonging to Kelly Wiley in 1990. 'Die snowmobiles, originally owned by Bill Cameron, Kelly Wiley’s father, had been stored in a barn belonging to Dale Welch in Flint Hill. Mr. Haun was a farm employee of
