I standard but haven’t had time to develop it. A classic case of stonewalling.
I always get nauseous when I hear Republicans like Allen claim that their actions are based on states’ rights or individual rights. They claim that we’d rather choose our own personal physician than have guaranteed health care. Well, I, for one, am glad that there is a federal agency like the EPA that will strongarm these know-nothings in the hope that one day we’ll have breathable air. I would also be glad to know that if either of my children got really sick I could take them to some doctor, any doctor. Having the “freedom” to choose your personal physician doesn’t mean much when you can’t afford one.
My only hope is that Democrats will unite behind a candidate and defeat Oliver North and the ayatollahs of the religious right. It would be a shame to have the same lack of leadership in the U.S. Senate that we now have in the Governor’s office.
