Unfortunately, this campaign will depend as much on money as on issues, and the Republican candidate is raising about a million dollars a week. Only Chuck Robb can match this fund raising. Any other candidate in the Democratic primary would be swamped by the far-right propaganda barrage because he or she would not be able to afford to counter it with his or her message. All you would hear about him or her would be what the opposition’s campaign ads say. The Republican candidate is now, or will be shortly, going to California to raise money for this election. These Californians will have more to say about Virginia’s future than will you unless you choose a candidate who can match the resources of the far-right.
I urge all fellow Democrats to vote next Tuesday, so you can have a voice in the future of Virginia. Reject extremism and choose moderation. Choose Chuck Robb.
