On the water project Mr. Morehouse said there was a surplus which could be used to extend the main lines on Main Street or to hook buildings on Gay Street to new main lines, using old main lines only for fire fighting.
Member Ray Gooch noted that Mr. Morehouse had supplied administration of the grant for improvements in the water system free, thus enabling the grant funds to do more improvements.
“Getting more pipes in the ground is more important,” Mr. Morehouse said.
“You saved the town $42,000,” Ms. Bruce said.
