Graduation, Awards Ceremony

Rappahannock County Elementary School will be holding its annual seventh grade graduation and awards ceremony at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 17 in the gym. The seventh grade faculty invites all friends and family members to attend. The ceremony is expected to last for one hour. Students may leave immediately following the ceremony with their parents.

Baccalaureate Service

The Rappahannock County High School Bible Club, in cooperation with the churches of Rappahannock County, is offering to the graduating class a baccalaureate service to be held in the high school auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 12. Mr. Jon Heddleston, interim pastor of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville, will be the featured speaker. Other area ministers will also be participating. The public is invited to attend in support of the graduating class.

NSDAR Luncheon Meeting

The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, will meet for a dutch treat luncheon at The Public House at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14 to celebrate Flag Day.

Mrs. Richard C. Anderson, Chairman, Flag of the U.S. Committee, VADAR, will speak on the history and proper use of the American flag. / i
