Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Brown accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Meneffee of Culpeper spent last week on a vacation trip enjoying a Carribean cruise. The ship docked at two cities, Key West, Fla. and Cozumel, Mexico where they toured places of interest. They report having enjoyed a wonderful time.
In their absence, Mrs. Hash spent time with Mrs. Brown’s mother, Mrs. Gid Jenkins.
Quite a few came out for “workday” Saturday at Windmore Cultural Center down Griffinsburg Way. The center is being readied for their first outdoor performance which is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27.
Congratulations to Peter Heffem, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heffem, down Reva Way who has received a four year scholarship to • the United States Naval Academy. Heffem has earned a 3.9 GPA and . also scored 1360 on his SAT test.
