John Leake

John Lewis Leake, 75, of Culpeper died on Sunday, June 5 at Culpeper Health Care Center after a short illness.

A native of Sperryville, he was the son of the late Luther and Florence Jenkins Leake.

Mr. Leake was a World War II veteran.

He was a retired employee of the Commonwealth Gas Services and the Fairfax County School System.

He spent the last several years of his life ministering to the elderly and sick. He was a member of Culpeper Free Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Catherine Anderson Leake; two step-sisters, Christine Bircher and Melen Levier, both of Columbus, Ohio; three step-brothers, Glenn Jenkins of Culpeper, Medford Jenkins, of Reva and Alvin Jenkins of
