The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Company is sponsoring its Second Annual Equestrian Games or Gymkhana at David Semmes’s Indian Run Farm this Saturday.
“Gymkhana” is an unusual work that comes to us from India by way of England, compliments of the British Army. While it hs different applications in this country, it generaly refers to games played on horseback.
These games can be quite competitive with results meausred in hundredths of a second, but that is not the intent of the Flint Hill event. Rather this is planned to give riders a little different opportunity to get out and have fun with their horses.
