Last Thursday morning in a high school assembly top students received some of the recognition top athletes receive frequently.
The new officers of the National Honor Society were recognized: President Cari Kerr, Vice President - Julie Bankston, Secretary - Holly Gangel, Treasurer - Angela Deavers.
Most teachers gave awards to the top students in their classes. Those recognized follow: .*Band: Superior musicianship - DaVid Pierce, Superior marching band - Susan Jewell;
'Chorus: recognized for five years of dedication to the chorus - Lisa Puljen, Choral Director’s Award - Matthew Payne, National School Choral Awards - Gail Fletcher and Veronica Myers;
French: French I - Lauren Sharp,
