They Are Pair Race Specialists Members of the Rappahannock Hunt brought home a bevy of awards from the Virginia Point-to-Point Association Awards Ceremony on Sunday,June 4. They won the year end championships in all three divisions of the Mill Run Feed Hunter Pair Races. Points were accumulated at races held each weekend from mid-February to the end of April. Winning the Fast Time Division were Michael Brown riding Onemoretry and Joseph Kincheloe riding Alexis. They were also the division runners-up with Mr. Brown piloting Red Man and Mr. Kincheloe riding Garth. Winners of the Junior Optimum Division were Ashley Settle riding The Black Imp and Julie Huff riding her Aim To Please. Second place finishers were Jennifer Bly on Nick Of Time and Rebecca Jacobs riding Cloud Cover. Adult Optimum Division winners were Janet O’Keefe riding Mr. Kincheloe’s Reasonable View and Carol Quaintance on her Trump Card. Tied for third place were Janet O’Keefe riding Mr. Kincheloe’s Noble Crown and Julie Williamson aboard her Mean Hearted Mary. Ms. O’Keefe tied with Dawn Dugan of Marshall for the Old Fashioned Point-to-Point Races Championship and was awarded the Ruhsum Perpetual Trophy. Ms. O’Keefe rode Mr. Kincheloe’s Garth to win at Rappahannock and was third at the Orange County old Fashioned race in The Plains.
