The School Board voted to get a cost estimate for providing vocational education at the high school.

They had received a report prepared by a vocational education planning team.

School Superintendent David Gangel said the cost of tuition at Piedmont adds $3,733 per student for each of the 43 students attending Piedmont to the $5,797 cost of education in Rappahannock. There is an additional transportation cost of $659 per student for the two buses that go to the vocational school each day, and there is the intangible cost of time missed in the one and a half hours per day the students spend traveling on the bus.
