Cineraria’s daisy-like flowers form a canopy over the foliage in a range of colors from white with a dark center to pink, scarlet, red, crimson, sky blue, and purple.
Double Pot To Keep Moisture
Both cinerarias and calceolarias benefit from “double potting" in which a small pot is placed inside a larger one. The gap between the pots is filled with soil or sphagnum moss that is kept wet so the inner pot stays moist. Although they are both perennials, cinerarias and calceolarias are difficult to keep for a long time and bloom better if started new each year.
Whether you chose one, two, or all three of these plants for winter bloom, purchase plants in flower so you can match or con^ast them with your decor. Also, don’t overlook these colorful potted plants as hostess and holiday gifts for the plant lovers you know.
