Sheriff’s Office with “Riskee,” a bloodhound. By noon, Riskee had found both of Mr. Sisk’s shoes between Mr. Barton’s land and Whippoorwill Farm at the end of Piedmont Street in Washington.
Further efforts to locate Mr. Sisk were fruitless, until an anonymous caller to the Sheriff’s Office on Friday informed them that the fugitive was at the Culpeper Hospital. Deputy Chris Williams was dispatched to pick up Mr. Sisk at the hospital, and he returned with Mr. Sisk, in handcuffs, to the jail around 6 p.m. on Friday. Sheriff Woodward said that the hospital had given Mr. Sisk a clean bill of health and released him. He also said that Mr. Sisk apologized to him when he was brought into the jail on Friday, saying that his escape was nothing personal against the sheriff.
Already facing a maximum of 21 years for malicious wounding and assault, Mr. Sisk now faces an additional five years for felony escape without force, according to
