Or better yet, go caroling yourself.
• Fill your home with the scent of simmering potpourri or warm spices like cinnamon and cloves; they smell cozy and inviting.
• Listen to holiday music when doing everyday activities like cleaning, cooking and even driving to wofk to get yourself into the spirit of the season.
• Go ice skating and sledding, have a family dinner in front of the fireplace, or decorate the Christmas tree together.
• Make gifts if you can’t afford to buy something for everyone. Creative presents like a gift certificate for baby-sitting services, baked goods or a personalized cassette tape of sentimental songs are thoughtful gifts.
• Make a popcorn and cranberry garland. Decorate an indoor or outdoor tree. Outdoors it will feed the birds and small animals.
