Andrew Deal Sr.
Andrew Lee Deal Sr., 78, of Culpeper, died on Thursday, Nov. 16, at his residence.
He was born in Rappahannock County on Nov. 22, 1916. He was retired from Culpeper National Cemetery.
He was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, Culpeper Moose Lodge, and served in the U.S. Army during WWI1.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Wharton Deal of Culpeper; daughters, Linda D. Broyles and her husband, James H. (Bobby) Broyles Jr. of Culpeper, Barbara D. Ellington and her husband, Randy of Culpeper; a son, Ernest Gibbs Deal of Amissville; grandchildren, Peggy D, Durrette of Richmond, Lee Ann Deal of Richmond, Valerie Mills of Mitchells, Marty Ellington of Culpeper, Angie Ellington of Culpeper, Jamie and Kristian Broyles of Culpeper, Justin Andrew Deal, Brandon Trent Deal and Phillip Ryan Deal, of Amissville; two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Harry Deal of Norman and Lester Deal of Sperryville; and a sister, Dolly Sisk of Culpeper.
He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Lee Deal Jr.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Culpeper National Cemetery, with the Rev. Stephanie Bush officiating. Interment was in Etlan Cemetery, with full military honors.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
