Mr. Johnson said to connect to the WSA main line, a line would either have to go across neighbors’ land or would have to cross U.S. 211. When the sewer system was put in, rock under the road required blasting and cost $5,000 for each crossing.
He said normally a customer has to pay to bring his sewer line to within 10 feet ot the WSA main line, but if the authority started charging with no sewer service in place, the WSA might find itself responsible for bringing the line to the WSA main line.
Member Charles K. “Pete” Estes made a motion to table a decision to research the matter further.
