F.T. Baptist Church will dedicate its new three-manuel Allen organ at 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov: 26 with free concert at the church on Route 707, Slate Mills Road. Featured organist in recital will be Robert Swift, diaconal minister of music and liturgical arts at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Arlington. BALDWIN Rappahannock News Contributing Writer Virginia Cornell Frazier, of Luray, was honored with a surprise birthday party on Saturday, November 18, at the Banquet Hall at the Luray Fire Department in Luray. I’ll not tell her age, as it, as I understand it, is not wise to impart that knowledge to someone without consequences attached. Although she as passed another milestone in the “age department”, who could guess this gal is not but half that, from her appearance and her agility. If you don’t believe this writer, try keeping up with her on an all day hike sometime. Her memory too, is one of the keenest and most formidable I'm acquainted with. She visits her native Rappahannock often as she helps care for her aged mother, Ida Cornell of Old Hollow. Here many a happy hour are passed when some of the hollow folk come in and a good, old fashioned game of set back ensues. Who says the old gray' mare ain I what she used to be, The haven't met you yet. For all the world would surely see, You re plainly a suffragette. We’ve whiled aw ay some few hours along a beaten trail. And shared with other too.
