U.S. and to earn bronze, silver or gold medals every day they race.

National racers are ranked based on the average of their three best handicaps. Fairbrother earned an average handicap of 17.7 while skiing at Massanutten. That score means she was just 17.7 percent behind NASTAR National Pacesetter, Tommy Moe, who held NASTAR’s best handicap, a zero, during the 1994-95 ski season. Her younger brother Michael Fairbrother placed fifth for boys in the 10 to 12 age group in Virginia.

Both spent three weeks in New Zealand training this summer and are off to Maine with the Massanutten Ski team the second week of December.

Besides skiing both Fairbrother offspring are active as tennis and soccer players.
