The Planning Commission recommended approval for David Langelle to operate a video arcade in the old Hampton Inn building on U.S. 21L
Mr. Langelle told the planners he plans to have computers as well as video game machines and pool tables and will offer internet access and computer instruction.
He said he will employ local students parttime.
The application states food available will be limited to soft drink and snack vending machines and that the business will follow “strict guidelines prohibiting profanity, fighting, public nuisances etc. No alcohol use, smoking or drug use will be permitted.”
