Scott Updike, David Massie, and the junior team brought home honors from the statewide Block & Bridle Contest held March 22 and 23 at Virginia Tech.
Seven members and two leaders of the Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Club participated in the annual event which included the Stockman’s Contest, Meats Judging and Livestock Judging Contests.
Randall Updike, 4-H leader, reported that over 200 youth participated in the senior Stockman’s Contest and 186 youth participated in the junior contest. There were approximately 450 youth in the Livestock Judging Contest on Saturday.
