The landowner’s reasons for having trees logged will determine the approach the team takes, Mr. Bird said.
“If they’re doing it for the money, we will meet with the landowner to find out how much money they want, which trees they want cut and what they want it to look like when we’re done,” he explained.
He will then mark the trees that offer the maximum value and meet the owner’s criteria and show the owner exactly which trees will go, he said.
