Vibration — A vibration felt while the brake is applied may be due to rotor imperfections, fires out of round or worn brake hardware components.
• Low pedal — If the pedal is almost touching the floor before activating, the pedal may need minor adjustment or more extensive repair.
• Hard pedal — If extreme pressure is, needed to make brakes function there may be power brake trouble, frozen calipers or wheel cylinders, restricted hydraulic lines or damaged brake linings.
• Grab — Brakes that grab with the least amount of pressure may indicate a simple problem such as contaminated linings of a more serious problem that could result in brake failure.
• Pull — If the vehicle pulls to one side when the brakes are applied, the brakes may be misadjusted or malfunctioning.
• Brake warning light — The light indicates that the parking brake is being applied or that a serious drop in hydraulic brake pressure has occurred.
