The 13-28 place finishers win the chance to go on to the Thompson Trophy Race held in Grunstock, N.H. toward the end of March. There is the option of going to compete in the race instead of going to camp. He feels he has a good chance to win since he’s already bested most pof the contenders.
His competition for the year will end with the Thompson Trophy but he said he doesn’t mind. Spring sports are coming up and he’s excited about those.
“I would never stop skiing,” he said. “I’ll continue with it next year and I want to go to the Junior Olympics next year or at least the year after. The biggest thing would be to eventually make the Olympics — that’s my dream.”
Both Cheryl and Dennis are thrilled and excited about the achievements of their son and daughter.
