They are always there...the mighty sentinels carrying power that gives life to our appliances, heats our homes, and shines through our windows. We seldom notice them unless catastrophe comes and interrupts our routine. Then we search frantically, wondering when our lives will return to normal. “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. ” This quote from Genesis 1:3 in God's Holy Word tells of the Power that controls another light...the sun. “The Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet." (Nah. 1:3) Yet, unlike worldly power, God never fails. In Hebrews 12:15, the Lord promises, “I will never fail you nor forsake you. ” However, we must call upon His name, inviting God into our hearts, so that our lives might be filled with His power. Worship this Sabbath. “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen."
