“The people of this county are really lucky to have all these volunteers. They give up a lot of their private time,” said Mr. Taylor, who was a volunteer firefighter when he was younger.
He said that Mike Brown, who arrived on the scene with his tow truck, knew exactly how to get the tractor off him instead of putting pressure on him.
Mr. Taylor said he can’t thank everyone enough. “They were really as professional as all get out. The rescue squads in this area are fantastic,” he said. Even'though he has “bruises on top of bruises,” he feels he was “just plain lucky.”
Mr. Taylor advises, “If you have a transmission problem with a tractor, don’t take it on a hill.”
