It appears that the General Assembly will pass the gas tax bill and the increase in corporate income tax from five percent to six percent.
It will probably be the next few days of the session before we know exactly what changes will be made as to budget and taxes, and it may be that a compromise will have to be made by the House and Senate versions on both of these points.

Fans of the Rappahannock
County High School basketball
program had a busy week, as both the Panthers’ Varsity and Junior Varsity teams took a shot at Bull Run District titles.
The Rappahannock Cub Scout Pack 123 held their Blue and Gold banquet Feb. 27, when 80 scouts and parents shared a potluck dinner, received awards, enjoyed a skit by the Webeloes, and participated in a Pinewood Derby.
