INVITATION TO BID

The County of Rappahannock is seeking bids to perform all labor and to provide all materials, supervision and incidentals needed to remove the existing metal roof and replace with a new standing seam roof on the Treasurer's Office of Rappahannock County. The work shall include:

1.) Remove existing gutter for priming and painting by others and rehang; and,

2. ) Remove, replace and point up chimneys, parapets and building comers as necessary; and,

3. ) Remove and dispose of existing metal roof and replace with Englert pre-finished Rarest Green metal standing seam (FG-20) and,

4. ) Seal masonry on. exterior to limit water seepage through brick.

The procedures for Competitive Sealed Bidding 11-37 et seq. of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, shall apply. Bidder must be a Virginia-licensed Class B contractor. Bidders must submit a signed, sealed bid to the County Administration Office (290 Gay Street, PO Box 519, Washington, Virginia 22747) by Friday, March 7, 1997 at 3:00 PM, at which time bids shall be opened and publicly read.
