She was bom Oct. 2, 1903 in Amissville, a daughter of Thomas and Hattie Deatherage.

She taught English and Science in Virginia schools.

She received her Master’s degree from the University of Virginia and she was a member of Amissville United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Meese; a brother, James B. Deatherage and a sister, Ms. Nannie Deatherage.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virginia L. Gutek of Cleveland, Ohio.

Frank Rollow Grigsby, of Dover, Delaware, 81, died on Friday, Feb. 28 at Kent General Hospital in Dover.

Frank was bom Dec. 21, 1915, to Maggie Rollow and Frank Grigsby in Brooklyn, New York.
