Supervisors Bryant Lee^ Bob Anderson, and Chair Pete Estes all agree“d and noted the thanks received from County residents. Mr. Anderson moved to approve up to $3,000 to RAAC to offset parking fees for County residents, and Mr. Lee seconded the motion, commenting that this was “one opportunity to give something back that the people will enjoy.” The motion carried unanimously. Volunteers sought for Alternative School Z Funding Committee ::
The Board discussed response to the recent call for volunteers to become members, of a “Citizen’s Committee to* Study Alternative School» Funding.” Mr. Lee reported! that he had two volunteers; Mr. Frazier reported two vol- * unteers; and Mr. Welch report- ’> ed one volunteer. Chairman; Estes received an additional; two from meeting attendees, * and Mr. McCarthy will reannounce the call for volunteers in the Rappahannock News.
Other activities
• The Board unanimously approved a resolution to proceed with the pedestrian bridge portion of the Sperryville Gateway project. According to Mr. McCarthy, he will be ready this month to release the bid package for this portion of the project that has an engineering estimate of $63,100. It is possible that the pedestrian bridge can be in place before the end of this year.
• The Board unanimously agreed to reappoint Jean Lillard to the Recreational Facilities Authority.
• The Board scheduled budget adoption and end-ofyear payment day for June 25 at 7 p.m.
