Girls* Soccer

Another Rappahannock High School team, Girls’ Soccer team also moved forward into semi-final regional play and went on the road for Thursday’s game, May 31. They had a great run but lost to the Prince Edward County High School team 4-1.

The tone of the game was set by some very rough play by both sides and no referee whistle. At half time the Panthers were down 3-0. Coach Maeyer started the second half with her original 11 but several had already sustained injuries from the first half and were in and out. Adrianne Moore had the only goal of the game. Despite the loss the Lady Panthers had a good season and advanced further than expected as a third seed with their slot in the tournament semifinals.

All Bull Run District players were selected by the District’s coaches and were as follows: First Team: Adrianne Moore, Jenny Waters, and Ashley Dunn. Second Team honors went to: Amber Allen, Elaine Smith and Sara Hathaway.
