Sperryville resident • Shelby George Atkins, 45, of Sperryville died May 29 at iNOVA Fairfax Hospital. * He was born Nov. 16, 1955, a *son of Lyle Wilson Atkins of Sperryville and the late Barbara Christina Atkins. ’ He was employed by the Rappahannock County Public School System. » In addition to his father, survivors include four sisters, Barbara Gore and her husband, Eddie of Sperryville, Betty Myers and her husband, Larry of Elk wood, Becky Tuel and her husband, Allen of Culpeper and Brenda Sacco of Luray and two brothers, Melvin Atkins and his wife, Juanita and Calvin Atkins and his wife, Nancy, all of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include six nieces; two nephews; two great-nephews; one great-niece; aunts and uncles. ■ In addition to his mother he was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph Buraker and Elizabeth Atkins and Lee and Thelma Atkins. ;; Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 2 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jon C. Heddleston and Rev. Wayne Richards officiating.
Interment followed in Sperryville Cemetery. ’ Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.

Captain Harry Lee Smith, 89, of Washington died Tuesday, May 29 at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland.
He was bom March 25, 1912 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to the late David B. Smith Sr. and Mildred Leachman Sinith.
Captain Smith was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired after 31 years of service. - Captain Smith was president of Spring House Reality. He attended the University of
