O.A. Norton will assume his duties as Superintendent of Warren-Rappahannock Public Schools on July 1 at which time the resignation of Q.D. Gasque, who has been Superintendent for 16 years, becomes effective.

Superintendent Q.D. Gasque will present the 44 graduates of Rappahannock County their diplomas at commencement exercises to be held June 9 in the school auditorium. Honor graduates at RCHS are Edgar Browning, Shirley Brown, Ellen Gore and Betty Lou Deal

Cadet Richard E. McNear, son of Army Colonel and Mrs. Evan A. McNear of Washington will be graduating June 7 from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. Cadet McNear will be commissioned a second lieutenant in the Engineer Corps and will receive a bachelor of science degree. At West Point, he was active in the skeet, ski and outdoor sportsmen’s clubs.
