1 The Washington High School class of 1950 met Saturday night, May 19 for their 51st reunion. It was held in the old Washington High School auditorium, the scene of many well remembered basketball games and assembly programs.
Class member Dorothy Printz Woodward, with her husband, Woody, organized and planned the evening.
Eleven of the original fifteen class members and their families enjoyed reminiscing as they dined on a delicious meal catered by The Country Cafe.
The Wharton family sang a special hymn, “What A Day That Will Be” with Mrs. Wharton accompanying on the accordion.
A memorial tribute was given for Lucy May Smith Hitt and Silas Martin, class members who have died.
