Clinic has Wednesday hours

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first and : third Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will next be open • on June 20. Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Health Department Building.

The Free Clinic is a cooperative effort of local doctors, nurses, and administrators to provide excellent primary health care and medicines to Rappahannock area citizens with limited means. All care is provided at no charge by volunteers. For additional information call 347-0394.

Services Board to meet

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 12 at 1 p.m. at 15361 Bradford Road. Individuals with disabilities who require special assistance to attend and participate in this meeting should contact Paula Benenson at 825-3100, ; extension 3146 or 825-7391 (TDD).

Dent West family reunion set

The Dent West family reunion will be held Saturday, June 9 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington on US 211. “Please join us from 11 a.m. until dark,” said an organizer.

4th of July fundraiser slated

The Washington Baptist Church is planning several fundraising activities for the annual Fourth of July festival in Washington.

The youth of the church will be sponsoring taco and pizza meals inside the air-conditioned fellowship hall of the church, the Men’s Brotherhood a barbecue chicken meal and watermelon down near the pond, Ruth Clark will be coordinating another Grandma’s Attic and Ginger Estes, Mary Bailey and Marilyn Smoot will be conducting a silent auction inside. Anyone desiring to donate items to the Grandma’s Attic or the silent auction should call the Church Office at 675-3336. All proceeds will go to the Summer Youth Mission Trip and the Church Building Fund.

Summer trail rides set

The Rappahannock Hunt will once again offer summer trail rides. The ride on Sunday, June 10 will be held at Mont Elery at Castleton at 10 a m. On Sunday, June 17 the ride will be held at Duncan Run Farm at Rixeyville.
