** “Excitement” has been the word of the day for the young Lady Panther softball team for the past ten days. They beat Madison County High School on Friday, May 25 to earn the Bull Run District’s third seed going into the Region “B” Tournament the last week of May. By the end of this week Rappahannock County was the only Bull Run District team left in play with Manassas Park and $rentsville knocked off in the fjrst round.

Going into the top of the fourth inning the score was 10, with the Riveheads on top, scoring in the first inning on two hits and a sacrifice bunt. But the Lady Panther’s determination stepped up to the blate with Gwen Johnson in me fourth as she ripped one
