• Mrs. Lilo Wolfe’s Reading classes hosted their Second Annual Hogwart’s Open House on Wednesday, June 6 at the Outdoor Classroom. Students created magical creatures for which they had to write histories and create vivid descriptions. Creatures were on display and costumed students representing characters from their readings conducted tours. If you were not able to attend the Open House check out their website: http://www.dragonznthingz.cj b.net. The students and their parents had great fun preparing for this project.

• Volunteer Ann Georgia McCaffray was instrumental in the success of this event. Many thanks for showing such an interest in our students.

• As you can see this is an extremely busy time for everyone. However, in the midst of all the craziness we lost a good friend at RCHS, Custodian Shelby Atkins. Shelby was a kind and gentle man acknowledged and loved by all of us in the school system that knew him — students and staff alike. He will be greatly missed. And our sympathies are with his wonderful family.

• Have a great week!
