Be sure that any program is accredited and/or licensed (go to www.ACCST. org to check). Other means of evaluating a program include: check the graduation rates, job placement and years in operation, find out if the certificate/ degree is useful/required for the field in which you want to work, ask for financial aid information and the names and phone numbers of recent graduates, research to see if you can get the same training elsewhere, sit in on a class, and lastly, be wary of sales representatives that want you to sign something before you have made a thoughtful and informed choice.
