I believe that can be profound.
We live right next to the Flint Hill fire hall. I am impressed, on almost a daily basis, with the amount of effort that is required to make a volunteer fire and rescue organization function. I am certain it is that way in each of the county communities where these organizations exist.
The gifts that these volunteers give to the people in their communities, gifts of talent and time and dedication and hard work, must not go underestimated or under appreciated.
And I do not mean to imply that they have.
But those of us who would make lousy firefighters, EMTs, organizers or administrators, must stand ready to play whatever role we can to
