July 9: Blooming
daylilies and hosta
Long Mountain Nursery will open for the daylilies that have started blooming. The hostas are blooming as well. If you wander through the nursery, you might just find an exotic late blooming azalea that catches your eye. For those of you who can make it, the nursery will be open on the following Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. If these times prove inconvenient for you, please call the nursery (540) 675-3707) and they will work out something. The dates are Saturday, June 25 and July 9. The nursery will be closed on Saturday, July 2.
July 9: Class reunion
The Rappahannock County High School graduating class of 1955 will be having their 50th class reunion on July 9 from 2-7 p.m. at the old high school auditorium on Mt. Salem Ave. in Washington.
So all you 1955 grads, mark it on your calendar and come join the group to talk over old times. We would like to have eveiyone and their sigificant other in attendance. Bring pictures or souvenirs of interest. If you know any of our teachers would you ask them to come also, our treat.
